The value in this box is the combination of all of your contributions over the quarter, minus any withdrawals, Windcroft’s management fee, and your custodian fees. This figure is also reported in the Net Cash Flows column of the Performance History report in your quarterly package.
Neither additions to your portfolio nor withdrawals from it affect your performance calculation. A detailed listing of all of your contributions and withdrawals is itemized in the Cash Ledger report in your quarterly package.
The portfolio management system we use to track account transactions allows us to insert a comment beside each transaction to briefly explain it. If we ask how you would like us to comment on a withdrawal, it is only so we can respond to a potential “I don’t remember” three years from now.
